How do we know what to believe? How do our values guide our lives? Where can we come together to explore meaning making?
Below are a few sites and resources to help you explore the big questions of life from the comfort of your home.

Is there a God or not?
TedTalks are one of my favorite things. They are short, inspirational talks by incredible people. Check out this collection of TedTalks, "Are you there, God?"
Eco-Spirituality - JoAnna Macy
For many people who come to Throop Unitarian Universalist Church, their sense of spirituality is intimately tied to their relationship to the natural world. Bringing peace into the world has as much to do with healing the Earth as it does in repairing human relationships.
JoAnna Macy's work "The Work That Reconnects" takes people through the grieving process of all that is hurting in our world, and brings people full circle into a sense of hope that each of us has a role to play in making things better.
Check out the beautiful videos about "The Work That Reconnects."

Eco-Spirituality - The Pachamama Alliance
Another organization that has touched the hearts and minds of Throop members is the good work being done by the Pachamama Alliance. We recently went through a day-long "Awakening the Dreamer, Changing the Dream" symposium where participants learned how standard western culture puts most of us into a trance, letting us fall asleep and forget about the environmental destruction taking place all around us.
The Pachamama Alliance website is full of moving testimonials, photographs, and videos.
We are starting an eco-spirituality small group at Throop Church in Fall 2013.
